Regional Active Transportation Plan
Cowichan Valley Regional District Active Transportation Plan: Human Powered!
The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is currently developing a Regional Active Transportation Plan. The plan seeks to promote accessible, safe, convenient and enjoyable transportation options as an alternative to the private automobile. The project will not only explore multi-modal network connections throughout the region, but also, it will endeavor to tackle some of the most challenging issues we are currently facing, including climate change and equity. You are human powered and we want to help you use your power to get to where you need to go.
But we need your help.
You can participate by using the tools below:
- Using the map tool, drop a pin to let us know where in the Valley you would love to be able to get to by walking, cycling or rolling. Or, identify a route you are currently using.
- Using the ideas tool, add an idea you have for increasing/promoting/facilitating active transportation in the Valley. Use the like button to agree with other ideas.
- Using the stories tool, tell us about a time you spent on our trails.
The second round survey is now closed. Stay tuned for more results.

Tell us a Story
Tell us a time you had the most epic adventure on one of our trails. Maybe you saw wildlife, or maybe you wheeled a great distance. Where were you and would you do it again?
